Is there an investor compensation scheme?
Investments on CrowdHive are not covered by a deposit-guarantee or investor-compensation scheme, because you are lending directly to businesses rather than depositing with a bank. How is CrowdHive regulated?
CrowdHive operates as a financial intermediary and is a Member of SRO VQF - FINMA-recognised Self-Regulatory Organisation. This means our anti-money-laundering procedures, client onboarding and conduct are supervised under the Swiss Anti-Money Laundering Act. We are not a bank and do not take deposits onto our own balance sheet, we facilitate lending directly between investors and vetted businesses.
Who audits CrowdHive?
Annual accounts will be audited by an independent Swiss audit firm; the appointment will be announced before launch. Alongside the audited annual statement we plan to publish a regular transparency report, downloadable from the Statistics page.
Where is the data stored?
All personal and transaction data is stored on servers located in Switzerland, under Swiss data-protection law and the EU GDPR. Sensitive data is encrypted both in transit and at rest.
